Experience and tradition

We are now the fifth generation in our family working in home textiles. Our founder and CEO, Joaquim Ferreira, began his journey at a young age.

Growing up in a small rural town, Joaquim could get in close contact with nature and learn small habits such as growing his crops. This know-how connected him to his land and made him aware of his surroundings and the importance of organic ingredients.

Our responsibility is to leverage our past to build a better present and future, following our founder ́s legacy. Our focus is on maximizing creativity for tomorrow, while our design research remains grounded in experience and tradition.

Traceability

We are proud to be pioneers in traceability, leading the way in communicating the journey and origin of our products to customers. Through a strong partnership with CITEVE, we are conducting extensive research and fostering innovation. Our most recent work focuses on developing new communication. methods to demonstrate that every material used in our products, from yarn to finished goods, is fully traceable. Our collaboration with Belda Llorens on the Re-Trace Collection underscores this commitment, representing a significant first step in our pursuit of traceability. With his initiative, we aim to build trust and empower customers to make informed decisions, connecting them to the ethical and sustainable practices behind every price.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We focus on durable design to ensure our products are made for reuse, repair, and longevity, thereby reducing waste and promoting a circular economy. By prioritising eco-friendly and innovative materials such as linen, cotton, wood, and recycled resources, we minimise environmental impact while delivering high-quality, natural products. Our health-conscious approach ensures all items are free from single-use plastics and harmful chemicals. Combined with ethical manufacturing practices that prioritise worker well-being, our efforts contribute to a greener planet and a more responsible future for generations to come.

Creativity

Creativity is at the heart of everything we do. For us, design is more than just how something looks – it’s about creating products that are beautiful, functional, and made to last. Art and our surroundings inspire us at every step, from colour choices and patterns to the textures of the fabrics we use. We work closely with our designers to transform creative ideas into high-performance pieces that fit seamlessly into any space. By blending creativity with technical expertise, we ensure our textiles are not only practical but also timeless, bringing both style and purpose to every environment.

Creation Processes

1. Extracting Raw Materials

High-quality fibres and yarns, compliant with our certifications, are carefully selected to ensure durability, texture, and visual appeal in the finished product. The linen plant shown above is from France.

2. Spinning & Warping

The selected fibres undergo spinning, where they are twisted into yarns of the desired thickness and strength. In the warping phase, the yarns are organised and arranged into specific patterns, laying the groundwork for the weaving process. This drawing is from one of our suppliers in Portugal.

3. Weaving

During weaving, the prepared yarns are interlaced to create fabrics. We continuously refine our weaving techniques to ensure consistent strength and quality, while maintaining the desired texture and design specifications. This drawing is from one of our best-selling items.

4. Dyeing

After weaving, the fabric is dyed using batch or continuous dyeing methods. Closed-loop systems recycle water, and low bath ratio machines minimise water use during dyeing and washing. The fabric is rinsed, dried, and finished before quality control and cutting. This drawing is one of the machines we recently acquired.

5. Quality Control & Cutting

The woven fabric undergoes quality inspection to meet predefined standards. After inspection, it is cut precisely according to design specifications, either manually or through automated processes. This is a drawing of one of our latest cutting machines.

6. Confection

At the confection stage, we enjoy getting creative and experimenting with new sewing techniques, always seeking guidance from the experts. For example, this drawing shows the hands of one of our highly experienced sewers, who has over 30 years of expertise.

7. Packaging & Shipment

We ensure that our attentive and detail-oriented personnel pack our products securely and with precision to maintain high quality. Once packaged, the items are prepared for shipment to clients or distribution centers, completing the production cycle. Each order is packed manually, as illustrated in the drawing.
